i've been receiving junk emails from drdrew.com for the past 6 months and have unsubscribed 10+ times, but i keep receiving their email newletter. i've written directly to them, but they ignored my request and kept on sending me their crap. Is there any action I can take and who can I contact? I know some lady in california (i'm in california too) won a lawsuit against a major company who wouldnt stop sending her junk emails, but I dont want to take it that far.

if the spam keeps coming from the same address, i'd just put that in my mail block filter. other than that, you can call them & complain or see if you can do email filtering at the ip address level to knock it out.

how are you unsubscribing? if its by replying then youre setting yourself up because then they know you have an active email address. They then put you on a list that they can sell off and youre done for. I just have a junk email address i use for mailing lists and stuff and a personal email list for friends (friends that know not to fwd me anything, that is.)

sue them in small claims court :). Under law, you should be able to sue them for like $500 for every instance of unsolicited email you receive after you tell them to stop. Check it out here in the hot deals forum :D.

I personally haven't tried, but I have an email account with over 1k spams waiting for a lawsuit to happen :).

thanks for the reply guys, this is the last time i register for a free condom :) any else have this problem with drdrew.com?

tigerwannabe - i've put it with their junk emails for 6 months, u think I'd let them off that easy? i checked out their website and they only have a contact for their webmaster, which i've already tried contacting.

kittykatt - i just follow their unsubscribe procedures and have recently sent an email to their webmaster. i just follow an unsubscribe link and put in my email in their "unsubscribe" line. i think they used to send out unsubscribe emails as well, but i lost all my old emails due to a harddrive failure

ignorus - i'm not in it for my personal gain, i just want the company to recognize that they're annoying the hell out of me and possibly many others

konichiwa - i used the spam cop thing, and i hope they get their just desserts

do a mail filter/block in your mail software, or block them IPs in your firewall rules.
