How do u measure ur FPS (frames per second)?

Hey, i was just wondering how u measure framerates. i know it is a noobie question but i never thought about it till i was playin halo today. I want to measure them in halo, doom 3, and farcry. any help at all would be great. thanx.


oh yeah i almost forgot how / what programs do u use to moniter gfx card and cpu temperture.

If not, you can always use FRAPS to display the FPS for any game.

Where do i find the commands (since i looked in the manuel and couldnt find anything)?

You will have to search for "console commands" or similar for the games in question.
It differs between games, so hit google.
FRAPS is a program you can download and run in the background. It will display your in game FPS, again, hit google to find it.

Wherever possible use games' native benchmarking commands instead of FRAPS.

The Console Commands for Halo make no mention of enabling FPS display.

Halo's command is rasterizer_fps 1.
