How do they estimate the HR distance in MLB???

I mean, if the ball lands in the upper-deck, how do they guess the distance of the HR? I can see it's pretty easy if the ball just goes over the fence... Do they have some kind of machine that tracks the ball's flight path or something?

I have always wondered about this...

Well from the home plate to the fence it's a given...they just add on how much farther based on the stadiums specs?

I was pretty much right on my guess (velocity & angle of elevation off the bat), but they simplify it by categorizing into three possible angles of elevation.
