How do these temps look?

Idle doesn't mean much. If you can keep it bellow 80C - 85C under linpack that is good. My B3 at 3.15 with water cooling maxes out at 81C.

Lap the IHS to copper and flat, and do the same with whatever cooler you're using. Aren't those idle temperatures? Don't hold me to it, but there's a good chance that lapping will trim down the differences between those cores.

that's the Intel thermal testing program, and I see it only shows two of the four cores. Or maybe it only shows the high and low. But I'd bet $10 (if I had it now) that you could trim the difference to 3 or 4C.

Also, I'm just suggesting here . . . . nothing you really need to do.

I've got the old B3, also.

I'm getting about 8 - 10 degress difference between the cores. Weird. Should I re-seat the Big Typhoon? It wasn't like this on my 6300

Yes, your temps shouldn't be any more than 3-4 degrees apart. Well, they shouldn't while under load, at least.

It may be picking fly-shit out of pepper. Between 5 and 7C spread would be likely between 3.1 and 3.2. I think, if he's patient and has the time, he could lap the Typhoon, lap the IHS, and cut the variance in half.

On the cooling angle, if those are idle temperatures, and if your room-ambient is around 75F, you could attend to getting those down as well. I'm guessing by as much as 5C.
