I've returned things sometimes but it's not a regular occurrence. I've always received my refund promptly and have never had a bad experience. I've just always chosen to print out the return label and drop off at the UPS Store which is down the street from my apt.

There's multiple choices for what reason you're giving for the return but I've never had it refused. I'd guess that it almost never refuses people; you can return things because you just don't like the color of the thing or if it's actually damaged/broke.

A few of my most recent returns: sun shades that go in your vehicle (just didn't work at all, they had good reviews too), socks that were too big, Surface Arc mouse (didn't care for it at all), 3.5 aux cable (no longer needed it). That was within the past year, about, and I think I order over a hundred orders a year nowadays, so not super often.

Historically I never returned things because like Viper said I researched and tried to guarantee I'd be happy. But within the past, say, five years at Amazon I've gotten less afraid or unlikely to just because it's so fricking easy. I still don't do it frivolously but I'm no longer averse to it.

I've had terrible luck every time I've bought any food items from Amazon. They always ship food items with non-food items. I once ordered a bag of coffee and they put a metal plate stand I ordered in the same box...which punctured the coffee bag.

I've had detergent leak on a coffee bag before.

I've had issues with packages only containing half of what they should...
I've had issues with expiration dates being expired.
I've had issues with items that never were delivered.

In all cases, it was a pain because Amazon doesn't have reasons on their typical radio button exchanges. It takes reaching out to support and either doing a call or an Email. They were always helpful and made it right...but having said that, I've not ordered as much because of the issues I've had and the fact that pricing is not as competitive as locally sold items.

that is pretty shitty that people buy stuff they know they are going to return...especially if they are just going to review it and then return it...

On the alot of the clothing items, they expressly state 'FREE RETURNS' on the product page...I wonder if those count against your return quota if you return them because they don't fit right....

If the quality control was better, I would only order 1 pair of dockers so that's not on me, imo. I'd have to check but I think I've only returned 1 other item, an out of the box busted watch.

Amazon prices are often the best, but not always by any means. I compare, usually with Ebay, sometimes beyond Ebay.

I had one Amazon box never come and they sent another. It was supposed to have multiple items. It must be 8 years ago or so, I'm guessing.

You are probably a Prime member given your frequent buying history at Amazon. I can go several months without ordering there, partly because I don't have Prime and don't like paying shipping. Also, I shop around for a better deal.

I've bought some food items at Amazon, don't usually have bad luck with them. Can't think of any. I wouldn't buy coffee through them.

I have Amazon's CS number programmed on my land line (I also have a Kindle Paperwhite, uses the same number): 1-866-216-1072
