my friend runs it at 800*600, she says she hates anything bigger....makes me 🙁:brokenheart:

1280*1024 here on an 18" Dell LCD

If it went bigger, so would I 🙂

i'm running at 1280x2048 (dual monitors)

in my opionion, having a CRT monitor set on a really slow refresh rate is worse than a low resoultion. I HATE staring at people's monitors when its running at 60hz. I feel like i can see every scan line as it goes down the screen.

Well I'm running 2560x1024@60mhz 'cos thats all the monitors are capable of - It does my freeking eyes in - I need it higher and at a minimun of 75mhz but don't have the money for it

Not everyone can see well enough to do high resolution.

I can use the native 1400x1050 on my 15" laptop LCD with my contacts in, but it's a stretch.

I frequently drop to 1024x768 and sometimes even 800x600.

Before the onset of KC I used to run 1280x960 on my old 15" CRT - And wished I could go higher.

Viper GTS

I set it based on the monitor size. 17" = 1024 x 768 since I don't want to have to get a mafnifying glass out to read it even smaller. OPn my 21" at work I use 1280 x whatever it is.

I never use 800x600 though.

1280*1024, at 1600*1200 everything becomes a bit choppy, esp, when you exit games and the desktop takes ages to refresh. Im using an FX-5950 ultra and my rig has got 1 gig of RAM, but still it is choppy at that res.

My finger is itching to press "buy" on dual 19" Dell's for $600....

Thinking to self, "If I sell 1800FP on eBay, & the 2 NEC 15's, I'd only be out ~$100, hmmm."

1280x1024 is mine...i honestly am not sure i would want a 1600x1200 or larger monitor though, as i find it too difficult to read the tiny text.

i am monitor limited
at work i can only use 1152x864 because the monitor has 60Hz refresh rate at anything higher.. it's a cheap TTX monitor

at home, my 900IFT won't do 1600x1200 at anything above 60Hz either, so I have to run 1280 @ 85Hz. 🙁

uh...sorry for not having the money to blow on 19" lcds?

No $$ to blow?? This guy got a Nintendo DS on ebay for $400 and then within a week, got tired of it . . .

Even 17" LCDs are 1280x1024 . . .

LCD's native res should all be one step up from what they are now. blasted technology costs.

I run mine at 1152x864 @ 75hz 🙁 Wish my crappy monitor's refresh rates could go higher. Or i would run them at 1280x1024.

After reading this thread, I switched to 12X10. I had to sit a foot closer to be able to read the screen. I normally recline about four feet away. I switched back to 1024 x 768.
