Hey guys, as you've prolly heard, in one or mabye TWO! :p of my posts, i'm getting a 9700 pro (and you can read my sig if you didn't) I've been looking over the internet, trying to find comparisons to newer cards, and I haven't had much luck. I'm just curious, how do you guys think a 9700 pro stacks up to cards like the; x700, 6600, 6200? many reviews just simply compare them to the newer low-end pci-e cards, which tells me nothing, and some only compare nvidia only. The best thing i've read so far were the VGA CHARTS IV. But even those only included the 6800 as a new card. Any ideas, speculations, guesses? Thanks

Mind asking why you don't want to sell the 5700 and step up to 6800 or something? In new games 9700Pro wont really make much difference since it struggles just as much as the 5700 card.

i'm selling the 5700u on ebay, to rake in enough to cover the cost of the 9700 pro. So in other words, this 9700 pro cost me about $10 :) I just wanted to get a nicer AGP card, to last me about 6 months or so, and then i'll just get a 6600 GT PCI-E, and a new mobo/cpu.

I think a 9700P ~= a X700, or maybe slightly faster, extrapolating from the 9800P overall score in the X700XT review at Hardware.fr.
