How do I use 2 CD Burners to Make 2 Copies of a CD Simultaneously???

Dear Anandtechers:

I totally don't know what software I need to use or if it is even possible to do what I want to do. So far in my computer I have 3 CD Drives. 1 DVD, 1 24X Liteon Burner, and 1 32X Aopen Burner.

What I want to do: place a CD in the DVD Drive and make two copies of the CD with both burners at the exact same time. 1 Read and 2 Writes Simultaneously.

Any suggestions on what programs to use or if this is even possible? Also. If it is possible would it take just as long as burning the CDs separately?

My computer is a P4 1.6 with 512DDR Ram.

Thanks in advance!

cool... i'll definitely check it out! does anyone else know other programs?

and do you know if the time to burn two CDs at the same time will be the same as buring one CD or will it take just as long as burning two CDs?

thanks

Jason

Depending on how you have your system wired...odds are it will be a mix of the two...faster than 2 cds being burned in a row, but slower than one by itself. And I hope that you have 2 of the same speed of burner otherwise you could get into some really funky issues. This explaination is only if you are using IDE/EIDE/ATA(etc...etc...etc...too many dang names for the same thing) and not SCSI.

If you are using SCSI(and again same speed burners) it should be very close if not the same as burning one cd.

actually, if you have an IDE setup (whcih i'm assuming you do) would work perfectly, but all 3 drives need to be on separate IDE channels (maybe use an PCI IDE controller card). it is possible for them to work if 2 of the drives are on the same channel (but not he burners)--a limitation of IDE is that only 1 drive can be access at a time taht share a channel.

Make sure DMA is enabled for all drives..

btw, why even bother with a 24x and a 32x burner?
i mean, its like 7 mintues to burn 2 cds, but hey, i'm all about doing cool stuff like this too.
