how do I upgrade my Bios?

I have an ABit BF6 and I think I need to upgrade my bios to get my new cpu to work. The problem is, I've never upgraded my bios, so I haven't got the slightest idea how to do it. Can someone tell me?

Here are the instructions via Abit

When you download the bios from Abit's site there will be instructions for how to do it. It's easy with Abit. Just copy the bios file and there install software (from the site), put it on a floppy and have the computer boot up with that disk inserted.

Whatever you do, make sure not to cut off the power or hit any power switches until the update is done. It could mess up your bios chip permanently and leave you with a dead mobo.

Thanks all for your help. Steven, do you know where I can download a manual for ABit's SlotKET? I can't seem to find it on their site, but I coudn't find those instructions you pointed me to, so maybe I'm just an idiot.
