How do I update WMP in my browser?

I was fiddling around on Amazon.com and I was trying to listen to some previews of songs...
when I clicked on the link for the windows media player version up popped what looked like a really old version of windows media player and it wouldn't play the file that it was supposedly connected to.

I have the latest windows media player... so I don't know if it didn't install to firefox or whatever...

any tips?

What browser are you using? This isn't something you'll be updating, but your browser might be having trouble with it. I know it works fine in IE and Opera, was doing it on Amazon just yesterday.
