Get coolbits, and just...underclock it. Coolbits opens an OCing option in the Nvidia control panel thing (if you didn't know). Just move the sliders to the left to underclock it.

personally, I'd look into an aftermarket cooler, like the Zalman VF700 for heat issues

Download and install coolbits.

Downloading it should take less than 10 seconds. Installing it should take less than 10 seconds.

Go here in your Nvidia control panel.

Move slider along lines.

Test overclock.

Apply with startup.

*sigh* new problem, I underclocked my default 490/1350 to 200/500 even, and still froze up X_X

I believe it is a temp. prob, any recommended cooling systems?

Don't put the core that low... 200MHz is WAY TO LOW Underclocking can cause it to freeze too. Try it at like 400Mhz and see if its okay.

Either way I would send it back or get a Zalman VF700 or a NV silencer 5

make sure the 12v rail is dedicated to the card only

How do you know if the 12v rail is dedicated to the video card? It isn't stated in my manual.

I'd imagine make sure that the lines the motherboard and video card are plugged into don't have anything else plugged into them.
