How do I un-stick my keyboard keys?

Nocturnal

Like I have a MS Natural Pro and when I first got it typing was sooooooo fast. I mean the keys just went down so nice and smoothe that it isn't even funny. I loved typing on that thing. Now it sorta has a friction and or resistance that has built up over time. I want to know what I can do to get that nice soft feeling back. Any tips or ideas? Anyone know if the new multimedia Natural Pro keyboard's keys get hard to press over time?

Try taking off the keys and cleaning them indivdually. Seriously. Also, if you take off all the keys at once, you can clean off the keyboard itself really well. Just dont forget where the keys go.

Just a tip, I would remove the keys and set them up as if they were on the keyboard somewhre else. That way you wont mix any of them up.

Then buy a new keyboard for $30 if you can't get MS to RMA it. There's really nothing you can do to make sure the keyboard will work properly again.

That seems like an awful lot of work for something that isn't very expensive. And I doubt it's the keys themselves, but the contant electronics rather

hey, I did it on my Dell quitekey. I just love my keyboard, i've had it for 5 years.

IMO the sticky keyboard jokes should go the way of 'yo mama' and 'why did the (insert stupid animal here) cross the road?' jokes. They're just not funny anymore. Even moreso since Walleye came into this thread.

on a related note, one of the side buttons on my microsoft logitech mouse gets sticky if i dont click it often; it slowly unsticks over time. Anything I can do about this one?

Click it more often?

man, what's wrong with you guys. everyone knows that you should turn to the side when you're fapping so that you don't muck up your keyboard.

I took a picture of my logitech cordless keyboard with my digicam, then popped all the keys off and cleaned the entire keyboard.

Then i left the picture open on my screen while i put them all back in place 🙂

Stop visiting porn sites and the keyboard won't get so sticky.

Actually you can take apart the keyboard and wash it. Just make sure it is dried properly before putting it back together so you don't get rust.
