The computers on university have a pesky issue that annoys me. When I'm logged onto a machine, the machine remembers forms and addresses. It only occurs when I'm logged in with my user name on a computer I've logged on before, so I think the AutoComplete settings are user specific, but stored on each workstation, not the user server.
When I try to access internet options, it says "this option has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect". But, when I get a pop up asking about privacy w/ settings button I can gain access to it.
Every once in a while, I get "would you like to turn on AutoComplete" message and even though the content is user specific on the machine, the consequence of clicking "Yes" affects the whole workstation.

How can I clear and disable AutoComplete without gaining access to internet options?
Alternatively, how can I consistently get a privacy notice pop up so I can gain access to internet options?
