How do I test my VC to see if it's going bad or not?

Only game I play is UT99 and lately my screen freezez for a split second or a bit longer and by the time it unfreezez I've lost my orientation.

What test can I run to see if my graphic card is going bad or not?

I think for the most part, electronics either work or they don't. It is rare that your video card has a hardware malfunction and can still operate at the same time.

For the most part, your problems are associated with software.

i.e.

outdated hardware w/ outdated drivers trying to run current software
current hardware trying to run out of date software
operating system software issues affecting software
generic driver issues
etc...


TO make sure it is a problem not associated w/ UT99, try playing different games to see if similar things happen. If so, you may want to back up your important info and do a clean install or run virus scan/spyware removal

Seen this kind of thing before and it was just the drivers going bad. Unistall and use drive cleaner to clear the drivers out completly. Then reload the drivers. If you still have problems you may want to try an older set. Had to go to an older set on my 7900GS recently. Not sure what happened but it runs allot better now.
