Hi All,
Having a file corruption problem in Photoshop 5.5. One of their suggestions as to my problem is faulty memory or memory causing problems. So, to help me eliminate one of the veriables. How do I test my memory?

hey bump the thread alot, i mean keep posting reply's that say bump, the thread will look busy, and stay near the top, i'd like to know how to test ram too, i need to find out the rated freq of my ram, need some suggestions
 
those are benchmarks. what he needs is somthing that will check memory for curruption.....
At school in our tech lab we have a memory testor machine hooked up to a laptop, just plugin the simm, or dimm and it will test it (pass/fail) and give u voltage and specs for it.....these are expensive machines, but any local computer repair store will have one they use, u can proably ask them to chek it for u, it only takes 30sec. And as for software testers, i wouldnt trust them
 
Simmtest is NOT a benchmark. It is a software test of your memory. The program is fairly extensive in the type of tests that it runs. It will catch all common memory problems. I've used software memory testers from pc's to mini-computers and they will catch errors.
I really doubt that very many corner computer shops will have a hardware memory tester available.
The third link diagnostics and benchmarks contains the most comprehensive list of programs for diagnosing pc problems that I have seen. If there is a better one out there, let me know.
