How do I tell my best friend that I'm dating his sister behind his back? *UPDATE* All is well :-)

He's very protective of her, yet he knows that we are close...I just don't think that he knew that we were THIS close. I think that he may have a suspicion about it, but I'm not sure and he hasn't said anything to me.

I feel bad b/c his parents know and my parents know (his parents love me to death and my parents love her as well), yet he has no clue. I'd rather just sit down and tell him in person before he hears it through the grapevine, but I won't be able to meet with him until the weekend. And calling him to tell him about it just seems so impersonal.

Or should I just not say anything and let him find out on his own?...nah that sounds like a bad idea!! He'd probably murder me!!

What's the best approach?

I'd ask him if it was alright that I date his sister. If he says it's okay, then great, he feels empowered and feels like he had a say in the matter. If he says it's not okay, I'd say, "Too bad, because I'm already hitting it and it's goooood!"
