How do I strip or edit the sound layer from an Mpeg video file?

I have a series of mpeg/dat files converted from vcd's and these have dual layer sounds (different languages). What prog will allow me to edit one of the layers of sound away so I can re burn these files to disk?

Thanks

Maybe demultiplex with TmpgEnc? I honestly don't know for sure, demultiplexing seperates the sound and video streams but I can't say how it would handle a file with 2 audio streams.

have you tried virtualdubmod? i'm also not sure how well it works with video with 2 audio streams...but it's worth a try.

If using TMPG:>

Ensure your not in Wizard mode (close the Wizard)

Press FILE>
Select MPEG TOOLS>
Go to DEMUX tab>
Select your mpeg file>
DOUBLE CLICK on the required STREAMS>
Save to file>
WAIT a few seconds/minutes>
Job done!!
