How do I stop Windows NT 4.0 from looking for a short cut that I deleted?

Every time I boot up NT It looks for a short cut that I have deleted. Anyone out there know how to prevent it from looking for the deleted short cut? I understand that it is a registry setting, but don't know which or where. Thanks.
