How do I stop sounds from overriding each other?

When I'm listening to MP3's and surfing the web I'll get the web page sounds blasting over my music. Is there a way to stop this from happening? Some way to make my machine only play one sound at a time? I have windows xp pro and a sound blaster audigy 2 if that helps.

In your browser's Options settings, see if there's an option for not playing sounds automatically when displaying a page.
