How do I stop mail address to the previous reisdent?

I have lived in this apt for 6 months now and we constantly get mailed for the previous resident and it is freaking annoying!!

I always put the mail in back in the send slot with the message "no longer lives at this address" but they don't get the hint.

How do I stop this??

call who ever is sending ther mail there and tel them to stop...or contact the person whos mail is being sent to you and tell them to tell the companies to stop mailing you

I had this problem after moving into a new home.....after several complaints to the post man, he put a label on the inside of the mail box with our last name....if the name on the mail doesn't match the name in the box, it doesn't get delivered.

USPS.gov and put in a change of address for them if you know where they live now. If not, forward it to a local strip club or something like that.
