slew off my bike this morning and skidded a bit...anyway it's all pretty much under control except for my knee. it's been more than 12hrs and it's still bleeding to the point that the blood keeps running down my leg if I don't blot if up.

I'm extra worried about getting all this crap to heal quickly because I'm going to love parade in 5 days. love parade with wounds and no dancing = 🙁

Cowboy position ?

"Love" parade? 😕

You are lucky, I will not post the checkbox flame in this post.

Get a bandage and keep it compressed on the the wound(tape it). As soon as the blood starts to show through the bandage, replace with a fresh one. BTW, how big is it?

I know stuff usually stops bleeding pretty quickly because the first blood dries and stops more blood from coming up. but the problem here is that since it's on my knee, the wound is stretched back and forth with every step, so it the blood doesn't have time to dry

You're talking about blood platelets.

go see a doctor.

All the kidding posts aside, you might want to have a doctor look at the wound. Let the doctor decide how to handle this situation.

And ... never, ever, ever come to ATOT for medical advice. 😉 (but please do take the advice I have provided.)
