How do I solder a 32.768KHz Radial Crystal?

It seems as If I'm supposed to lay it on its side after soldering the through holes, but do I solder the body to the board like an SMD? Or just let it rest on the pad?

You can just leave it lay there. It's very light and won't stress the leads.

IF you're really paranoid, you can tack it down with a little goo, or relay tape (double-sided foam tape) ... DO NOT try to solder the body of the crystal.
