HI,

I just bought a Netgear Router RT314. Its running really great! Knock on Wood :)
Its running at 100MBPS and I have 3 computers on it. Im wanting to set it up so I can have my dad or friends FTP into it. So they would beable to D/L some of my MPs for example. If im thinking correctly I sould beable to do this. Can I do this threw the SUA/NAT in the Netgear setup? If so HOW is the best and secure way? An example would rock! :) After its setup how would I go about setting up rights for certian folders or can I? I know someone else has brought this up but need more details. Is all I have to do is assign my IP and make up a port number? Then FTP into it? If anything maybe a sight that telling how to set his up.

BTW..Running Win_2000.
Thanks!
Buck

I cant tell from your post if u know that you cant host files off ftp server in the router, its just to upload new configs and roms. If you want to run an ftp server on your computer u can go into menu 15 and type port 21 and the internal ip of your comp and it will foward incoming requests to your comps ftp server.
