How do I setup a network using two XP Pro computers?

Use NetBEUI for peer to peer sharing. Much simpler than tcp/ip sharing.

good link jack, couldnt have suggested better.

nocturnal, you got any problems let us know, i could give you some tips on over coming some of the problems that i encounted doing the same.

and if you want to run a web server etc. let me know i know of some simple progs that will help you.
