How do I set up raid with my Dell 600SC?

Wanted to set up a raid 1 (I think, or raid 0, I need the one that backs up the information on both hard drives) for the server in the office, which happens to be a dell 400sc. It came with 1 hard drive, so I don't know if I need a raid controller or does the motherboard have raid support built in, as well as how to set it up since I've never dealt with raid before. I have 2 identical hard drives I just bought and was wondering how do I configure it since I know so many of u guys have this system as well. Thanks!

windows can do software raid on it. what version of windows are you running or are you running linux?

its going to have windows server 2000. I would like to set it up in hardware though if possible, or actually which is better?

It doesnt appear the 400SC has onboard raid, it had an optional PCI raid card, so you would need one of those if you want hardware raid

acutally I messed up, its a dell 600sc, not 400sc. Anyone have any experiences with the 600sc?

ok, read up on the specs and it seems that the controller card was optional when u bought the server, so I'm assuming I don't have it. How would you set up raid in software, or is there a better way to back up just the information I need in wondows 2000 server
