You can enable the built-in Administrator account by opening the Start menu, type 'lusrmgr.msc' in the search box, then press Enter. If prompted by UAC, click on Yes. In the lusrmgr console left pane; click Users then double-click Administrator which will open the Administrator Properties dialog.

Uncheck "Account is disabled', click Apply, then OK to close the dialog. Highlight Administrator then in the right pane click "More Actions" and select 'Set Password' from the context menu which will open the 'Set Password for Administrator' dialog. Read the warning, click "Proceed", type and confirm the new password, then click OK to close the dialog. Close the lusrmgr console and reboot. When Windows boots to the login screen you'll now see the Administrator icon in addition to User icons.

Login to the Admninistrator account and again open the lusrmgr.msc. Using the previous procedure; simply null the Users passwords by setting them blank. As always; backup before making changes.

I would take this approach:

1. obviously you have an Admin-level account already. Give it a password.

2. set up your non-Admin user accounts

3. get Autologon from Microsoft's Sysinternals Suite here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963905 This encrypts the password in storage so it's not particularly vulnerable if you do have a password.

Give that a try. Any good?

I am not having trouble as admin, I just want to set one up that's secret and them turn on the PC and boot straight into windows without having a login screen but still have the two different accounts admin and user

Could you detail the computer/s and user scenario you're trying to achieve this with? I like mechBgon's suggestion of Autologon which would avoid the obvious security risks of having the built-in Admin account enabled.

It is on my daughter's computer. She has been chating of which she is forbidden.
I want to install a keylogger and find out if it is innocent as she claims or if it is internet predators that she chats to. I don't want her to know that I did anything to the computer untill I know for sure which kind of chat it is. I must protect her.

In the event you want to prevent use of specific programs or websites, there's the Parental Controls feature, but it's the opposite of stealthy. At work I have Parental Controls enabled on some of the computers, with a whitelist-only approach.

If you want to use a keylogger, then a hardware keylogger dongle might suit your purpose. It sits between the keyboard and the computer and captures keystrokes on its own.

http://www.qustodio.com/ free and you don't need a seperate account on the computer. You can tell it to hide itself when you install it and they will never know. You them log into their website and can see everything they are doing.

I need the admin account to prevent them from changing things around anyway.
