I just learned about the Cas settings on my pc100 and want to change it to cas2 since it's faster right? So in my BIOS (Asus K7M, 751 chipset), there are the following options:

Precharge Time [1 cycle][2][3]
RAS Active Time [2][3][4][5][6][7]
Cas Latency [2][3][4]
Ras to Cas Delay [1][2][3][4]

My question is if I just change the settings for Cas Latency from 3 -> 2 or if I have to change the RAS settings? Thanks. I was just curious because people always say they're running their ram@2-2-2 and i have no idea what that means. TIA.

what i think the 2-2-2 means is the ram is capable of running at a cas 2 latency in the system bus speed periods 0-132 mhz, at 133, and 133 and above.

So it really just directs you to whether or not they were able to run at cas 2 at a certain fsb.

Please correct me if i'm wrong someone.
