How do I set keyboard number lock to be on at start-up?

I just installed XP Home on a friend's computer and am doing some fine tuning. Before the new XP install, his computer keyboard would turn the number lock feature (for the keypad on the right side of the keyboard) on automatically at start-up. Now it doesn't. I used to know how to enable this, but I've forgotten. I tried Windows Help, to no avail.

Anyone know how to do this? It's a Logitech wired keyboard, Model Y-SG13, if that matters.

It seems like sometimes WinXP can ignore the BIOS setting. In addition to enabling Numlock On in the BIOS, when you reboot/turn off Windows, ensure that Numlock is ON. On the next boot Numlock will be on for sure.

What about the F-lock key that some keyboards have. Windows refuses to leave it on after shutdown so you ahve to remember to hit it everytime you want to use the F keys.
