How do i send faxes over the internet?

is it possible to send a word document or an image file on my computer as a fax to a fax machine?

what software do i need to do this?

Can i fax over broadband? or do I have to connect through the phone line?

Can i receive faxes too?

i think jfax will do it...not totally sure though

if you have a modem, you can fax to any machine connected to a phone line as long as you have the #. fax software should already be installed. select print (not the button) from the file menu in word, and see if theres a fax option. if not try adding it manually thru the add new printers option.
