There are some streaming videos I'd like to save to my computer. The URL's for them start with mms:// and end in .wmv.

Is there any way to save them?

I also use nettransport. In fact I just downloaded some mms stuff a couple days ago.

The problem is nettransport isn't free. I think they offer a 90-day trial, but I'm not sure what if any features are disabled.

In my opinion, Nettransport is the best streaming media downloader for Windows.

I was afraid that you would ask that. It has been a long time and several versions of the browser since I knew anything about this, so it would take some experimenting. There is two places in Opera's preferences that deal with it: First, in Advanced Tab>Programs, you can determine which player the stream is sent to; and second, in Advanced Tab>Downloads, you can direct the behavior of .wmv files to be saved. Try the latter and see what happens.

It has a nag screen but will continue to work. I still use 1.94 since the newer ones aren't any better and it's chnaged for the worst.
