How do i run memtest?

For memtest you can also burn it to a cd thats what I do. And for prime95 when you start it up go to the tab marked options choose torture test and then run one of the three choices.

I'm positive. In order for Memtest to effectively test the whole stick, no OS can be running for obvious reasons. Make the bootable floppy or cd. Make sure you put boot order of the floppy or cd drive before the hdd.

Also, it's normal for Windows Explorer to not be able to see the files on the disk after memtest was installed on it. I don't know why it's like that, though. Maybe it has some funky file system for memtest.

Yup, I prefer to burn it on cd then use a floppy disk.

Just download memtest86, unzip it, and follow the readme file for making a boot disk. Then make sure your bios is set to boot from the floppy drive first. Then restart, it will load, and run itself.

For Prime95, just install the program, go to the options tab and click on Torture Test. I usually use the blend test to test for stability.
