I know a little bit about port forwarding.
However, how do I get the game display my WAN ip address instead of my local ip? Thanks.

find out all the ports it runs on and open them up.
easiest thing to do is set your router on DMZ mode.

i'd actually just forward the port, for CS it should be 27015, that's what I do, works fine! why open everything up when all you need is one port :)

I did try to forward the ports. Well I actually did DMZ although I know it's not safe in terms of having a firewall. However, I can't search for my own server on the CS:S find server list because I think it's using my local ip (192.168.1.105) as the address??? Is there anything to get it display my WAN ip address instead? Thanks!!

well if you go to whatismyip.com and use that ip address to connect it should work.
i dont think it will show your public ip in the game list but using the public ip would work.
