how do I renew my passport

I am going on a cruise at the end of september, but my passport is expired. Where do I go (online or b&m) to renew it.

Go to the post office with your passport and a new photo and such. Ask for a passport application and they will give you one...fill it out...send it to the nearest place that issues passports. If you need if faster then like 3 or 2 weeks, then you willl need to go in person and get it done.

make sure to do it WAY AHEAD of when you actually need it.

I remember the fiasco when my wife had to renew to change her last name to married last name....

passport was lost in the mail en route from the national passport center. took two additional weeks to hunt it down, almost missed a very important event overseas.
