How do i remove these screws?

Looks as though it's an anchor and screw all in one, where you insert it into the hole, and when you tighten the screw, it spreads the anchor wings. The sort of thing that you'd use where you don't have easy access to the back side of the material you're attaching something to. Might be designed as a one time use item, that would need to be drilled out and replaced every time.

Are they made of plastic? Looks like it, from the picture. If so, and if you have access to replacements (or something else you can substitute), I'd drill them out and replace them.

Nope, i just brought new bulbs. Prying them out seems like it will break. Hmm

loosen screw, take pliers, grab screw head and pull the whole thing out. They're like compression fittings that you find on door panels.

you have to use a very light touch and they will unscrew (barely put the screw driver in the head using now downward force). If they wont after that use a very small flat head screw driver to pry the head up a bit and then unscrew as usual. I have a million of them damn things in my Nissan

They pull out. use a pliers.

Yes, they often break.

You can find replacements at any good hardware/auto parts store.

If you can reach the back of them use needle nose pliers squeeze them a little and push them out. if you can't reach the back side just pull em out from the front a little bit and same thing use needle nose pliers to squeeze them together and they should pull right out. You can buy new ones at an auto supply store.

I got them. I just had to stick a small flat head screw driver between the screw and the other flat piece and pry them out. There push in screws and not screw out/in like i thought.

thanks.

well no, you pull them out part way. that lowers the spread out bits of the bolt and it slides out. sorta like a resetable drywall anchor. and yes they are used all over car interiors

They're like a reusable plastic rivet... when you pull the center, the wing things arent loaded out anymore. No idea what the the proper term for them is.
