How do I remove a P4 attached to a heatsink?

I'm trying to replace a heatsink/fan combo on this Dell laptop but when I removed the heatsink/fan the CPU came out as well. Now the CPU is basically frozen to the heatsink and I'm unable to get it off. I don't want to risk damaging it either due to it being a client's and not mine.

run a heavy program to get the paste heated up. if its a prescott w/ a stock hsf, all you have to do is netsurf for about 5 mintues. if that doesnt work, just run prime, then turn it off and do all the necessary precautions (grounding, etc), then do what kensai said.
