How do I recover dual boot Win2k

I had a win2k dual boot system with win98 and win2k on my wife's system. The kids decided that they would be smart and upgrade the win98 to win me. Now, no dual boot, only the win me system boots up. The menu choices for the two os's do not show up at all.

My wife has some data on the win2k partition that she needs to get at and prefers to recover the whole partition intact if possible. BTW that partition is NTFS and does not show up at all when win me boots.

Any advice on how to get the dual boot up without losing any data on the win2k partition.

For what it's worth, win me is on c drive and win2k was on f drive.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Boot up with your W2K cd and choose the "repair" option. This will in most cases fix the problem.

Good to hear that it worked :) Sometimes the installer can't repair it without the emergency repair disk. Make sure that you create one now. This will make it even safer. It can be done through the backup program in case you didn't knew
