How do I quote?

What is the proper format of the coding on this board to quote? Most boards are {quote}text here{/quote} with the {} being replaced with [] . This doesn't seem to work here, but I don't like to click quote. I like to manually type it in since I've always had problems with proper formatting and such with click quote options at every other message board.

Oh, and I already checked the FAQ and it's not there as far as I could see.

A quote is a quote. If you don't like it, go someplace else.

Maybe I'm missing something, but this seems so easy -

click on the "symbols" link at the bottom of the message form. Voila! You get the format for everything. This information, along with a lot of other useful stuff, is available in the help section (link at top right of every forum page.)
