Well...after searching everything i searched the title of my thread and then searched a bit more and found that you have to set browser.search.context.loadInBackground in about:config to true. Hope this helps anyone who may have the same problem.

Mods, you can lock this if youd like!

Thank you. :)

And I guess thank Mozilla for helping keep my in touch with me. Every 30 minutes now they're putting out a new version that changes all kinds of things; and some older people don't always seem to deal well with computers that abruptly change their behavior on a regular basis.
- Tabs have moved.
- Home page doesn't do the same thing anymore.
- Searching doesn't work the same way.
- New tab is different.

Geez.

Haha, glad my ranting was able to help some people! To get rid of all your history being displayed on the "new tab" screen, click the little square with 9 boxes in the top right corner, it wont come back. The little changes are indeed pretty annoying, they should include options for them.

Ummm, this is why I use the Tab Mix Plus add-in. It has maintained my tab behavior/colors for the last three iterations of FF. In fact, I missed the auto update to Ver. 13 because FF looked and behaved exactly the same as it did in 12, except now it's faster. This is what add-in are for, folks.

+1 to my massive list of add-ons.
(>30 right now) :)
