How do I preserve long filenames when copying in DOS?

I copied a directory using xcopy32 after booting to a floppy. All my files have ~1 on the end.

no can do...DOS does not support long file names.

I found a cool little DOS program that lets me do it!

Its called lcopy, and can be found in a bundle called LFNTools.

I recommend it to anyone who has a similar problem.
