How do I power down my computer completely?

I just got a new Antec 480 PSU and a GA-8IEXP mobo but now whenever I power down my mouse stays lighted (MS Intellimouse Explorer) and so does my LAN card. This did not happen with my previous PSU or mobo so I was wondering if there are certain settings I have to turn off or on in the BIOS so that everything powers down. Thanks in advance.

i take it you had an older m/b before..........it is common with present m/b's for the mouse lite to stay on after a powerdown.....as for the lan card maybe you can switch off " wake on lan" (or something simular) in your bios settings.....

OGHowie, my MB does the same thing, my optical mouse stays on; while it's an extra step, you could just flip the switch at the back of your PS after you shut down normally, not sure if this helps

And once you do that, press the power switch. Otherwise, your mouse will probably remain on for awhile, at least mine does. The PSU's capacitors store some power even after it's unplugged.

But for a practical option, I really wouldn't know.

Yeah, I just flip the switch on the power supply now. Thanks for letting me know it's "normal". :)

Usually my LAN light stays on for about a minute after power-down, dunno if you've waited long enough to see how long the light stays on?
