How do I post pictures as a pic instead of a link?

I made a web page that is hosted by comcast. And when I go to post a picture on a web site (I.E. here) and I put the IMG tag at the ends I get the red X, but if I put URL in the tags it will work that way.

How do I get the picture to work instead of having to link it. There has to be more then just putting IMG in the tag line so what is it.

D'you mean you want the image to show up in your post? Not gonna happen here unless you have special privileges like a mod.

Well not nessisarily (sp) here but at other BB I go to. I have a site I go to that has the IMG tag but I get no love when I use them.

Many free web space providers stop direct external linking to images stored on their web servers. With images hosted on Geocities for example you can't directly link to images as they check the referer information.

Ok, I figured it out. What I needed to do was select the picture, select properties, then copy and paste the properties url into the img tags.
