How do I PM Someone...?

Sorry if this is a really basic question, or if it is in the wrong forum, but I dont know how to PM people...can anyone help?
 
One way would be to click on the little (padlock?) icon which is in each person's post (if they have PM enabled). Another way would be to click at the top of the page where it says "No new private messages" and there is a spot ("Send a private message&quot😉 to enter the person's name and send it that way. I think if you send it this way it isn't obvious whether or not they have PM enabled, so you might want to check their profile first.
 
Thanks Yo_Ma-Ma, I was just thinking If i ever needed to PM a mod would I have to find a post from a mod and click the padlock? Obviously not, thanks again 😀
