i just got a blue for students card and i hear bout PMing and such all the time. .how do i do it? do i call amex? or do i use a website?

ANY info on Blue for students and how to use it to the max is helpful!!

thanks!!

I believe you need to post this in another forum. The answer to your question, however, is that you cannot use the AMEX Blue for students to pricematch. You would need a regular AMEX Blue to do so...

Dude, you better burn your computer. The mods in this group are f'ing crazy and they'll be all over you like a pack of hyenas. That is of course if you survive the group regs. I'd answer your question but the mods would surely kill my other children.

fallenangel99: It looks like you are a new member here (even though you joined in Aug 2001), and you apparently did not read the forum description:

Next time please post in the Off Topic Forum. 😉 🙂

To answer your question:

As Scarpozzi said, you can not pricematch with American Express Blue for Students since it does not have that capability. Only the regular American Express Blue has the pricematch feature. However, you can use your American Express Blue for Students for a few months and earn good credit with American Express, and most likely you will be approved for the regular Blue when you apply. Since American Express is easier on people who already own one of their cards. 😉 American Express Blue is generally harder to get if you are not already a American Express cardholder. 😉

Enjoy. 🙂

what does it take to get a blue for student? i have a part time job, go to college, pay rent, have less than perfect credit rating, do i have any hopes?

You do not need any credit or income to receive American Express Blue for Students, although your credit limit will be at most, $600. Apply online, receive you card in a few weeks. That's it.

AMEX does not offer an "upgrade" from one card program to the next. For each program, you must apply and then get accepted. Being a current AMEX carholder under one program does not necessarily offer any benefit for qualification under another especially student card programs that are based more on demographics than individual credit.

yeah screw Amex student crap, they disqualified me because of demographics for my university and zip code, didnt even look at my stellar credit and 40+k/year income as a 20 year old
