How do I play a VCD

hey all...

i don't have a DVD player on my computer, but my friends tell me that i should still be able to play and burn VCDs with my PLextor Burner. What application do i need to view the VCDs? I tried Windows Media PLayer and it didn't seem to work...

please help me out

Windows Media player should play VCD's, you only may have to locate .DAT file for him (that's really usual MPEG-1 video format inside it).
 
do what Priit said.

The file is usually called Music01.dat or Avseq01.dat. The are located in a file that is called mpgav (I think). Just open the .dat file inside of Windows Media Player and it should work.
