How do I partition HD so I can dual boot W98 SE and Linux? How many partitions should I make? What partition do I install W98 SE and what on gets Linus. How do I switch between the two operating systems?

Hi
If you can arrange the Partition Magic, it will be best bet for you. Thru this create linux native partiton of atleast 2GB and linuux swap partition of atleast 512 KB.

If you can not access PM than try partitoning thru Linux Installation it will automatically ask you for running fdisk or druid

you need at least 3 partitions:

FAT32 partition for win98
Linux Native partition for Linux
Linux Swap partition for Linux

You can create the FAT32 partition first, and leave the rest of the HD unpartitioned... after you finish installing win98, go into Linux setup and u should be able to create the Linux partitions using fdisk or ddruid in Linux setup...

Linux should detect your win98 OS and lets you dual-boot...
