My question is how do I change my CPU speed from the default 550Mhz to at least one increment increase ?
Everytime I go into the BIOS and change the FSB to 112 and then reset it, it then gives me the default speed of 266Mhz, so I then have to go back and put it back to 550Mhz...need help please 🙂

My Systems specs are :
Intel P3-550
abit BH-6 (ver.1.01) latest bios
256 ram
Win98 se
10g HDD
27g-HDD
dx7a
Asus 6800ddr (latest Nvidias-drivers)
Diamond Monster sound card (with Aureal drivers)
MS optical intelli-Mouse

in you bios after you change the front side bus to 112 or what ever,go down to speed error control, and set that to disable, save and see.

Did you also try increasing the voltage.

And did you try what squirrel dog said "go down to speed error control, and set that to disable"?

We could help you more if you would give us a better reply than I still need a better answer like did YOU try it, and if so WHAT happened!
