How do I move my Invisionboard forums?

I am using 1and1.com as my host and I can only have 1 SQL database.
I currently have the forums at ex. www.domain.com/forums however, I now want it at my new subdomain, forums.domain.com.


What do I need to do to be able to keep all my settings and forums & categories that I have spent a lot of time setting up?

You don't need to move the directory of your forums anywhere. Just point your subdomain to "/forums" and you should be able to access you forums from forums.domain.com.

That is what I did, but when you get to the forums, the url changes back to www.domain.com/forums/ it doesnt remain at forums.domain.com

Change the settings of InvisionBoard to use forums.domain.com rather than www.domain.com/forums, then it should do it right 🙂

Ok, I tried that, now I get a 404, and now I cant change the setting back because it give me a 404 when I try to change it.



I did have my settings to point forums.domain.com to" /forums. " Do I need to change that to just "/" because it is now looking for forums.domain.com/forums/index.php

Why does it take up to 3 hours to make this small change on 1and1?
