what's the best for a beginner, becoming more of a book worm?
i'm a bit concerned because this used to be my forte, but i feel like i've lost it.

maybe it's cuz i smoked weed (don't do drugs, seriously).

anyways, im really dedicated to improving my ability to articulate my thoughts on paper (i read 120 pages today in a novel!), and would like some advice.

You're an ENGINEER. Get back to your math books. Stay away from essays forever, for the sake of arts students everywhere. Just don't even try, because you'll suck at it.

My college has a writing center you can go to and they offer classes, advice on papers, suggest different techniques for writing etc.

I've never gone there, but I hear it's good stuff.

I heard this somewhere once: "Tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them, then tell them what you just told them." Other advice: Come up with a central point (thesis) that you intend to support, and support it. Coherently. Also, have a good vocabulary. Understand proper use of punctuation, and how it's used to improve the flow of ideas.
