How do I make IE remember last web page visited?

I looked in the Control Panel under "Internet Options" - "Advanced" and looked around using Google...no luck. I could swear IE had this option at one time.....


I want IE to open the last web page I visited, even after I close the page or shut down the computer.
The end result is essientaly the HomePage changing with each new website....


Example of what I want to do:

I open www.cnn.com
Click on an article, get to page 3 of 5 of the article
close browser
reboot computer
open browser right back to page 3 of 5 of the aritcle.

It would rock if the "back button" worked....but that would be a perk.



so.... any suggestions?

can't u just open your history and go to the site @ the top?

yes, but that can be tad slow.....

imagine you've been surfing all day....dozens of sites, hundreds of pages..... trying to find the last page visited can be difficult.....also, what if you don't remember what site you were last on?

Souka.....In your history, goto "View" then "BY Order Visited Today", then what meltdown suggested would work. That would probably be your best bet - I cant think of any program that would do what you mention.

Yep, but the fuction I'm looking for was definitly once an option in IE.....it didn't require a seperate program....

If you use Opera it can save your session for you. In the case that the computer crashes or even the rarer case opera crashes, it automatically saves the session so when you load it again it will ask you if you want to continue where you left off. Very handy.

In the case of IE, all you can do is what was already stated.
