Ok just got a Amd dual core CPU on windows xp pro. I see there is an option under the windows task manager under properties for the listed properties for cpu affinity and it helps in setting a specific cpu for a specific app. problem is once the app closes and I start it again the app is back to cpu 0+1 for affinity! Very annoying. Is there a way to permanetly set this? Thanks guys

RunFirst is what I'd use. It's a command-line utility but basically adding this to your shortcuts should work.

ok, that app doesnt let you choose which cpu to use. Does it just defualt to the first core? Is there anyway to specify which core the app uses?
